Jammu
The Jammu and Kashmir Government has dismissed Farooq Ahmad Najar, Orderly-cum-Chowkidar in Irrigation Division Tral, from service after an inquiry found him involved in a narcotics case registered under FIR 43/2024 at Police Station Kakapora.
Najar, who was earlier suspended following his arrest and judicial custody over the recovery of brown sugar, faced departmental proceedings where he denied the charges.
However, the Inquiry Officer, after examining police records and evidence, concluded that his conduct violated service rules and posed a threat to public welfare.
Acting on these findings and recommendations, the competent authority, exercising powers under Article 311(2) of the Constitution of India, ordered his dismissal from service with immediate effect and disqualified him from any future Government employment
