Poonch Police Successfully Recover Missing Lady in Mendhar

District Police Poonch has once again demonstrated its commitment towards public safety and swift response by successfully tracing and recovering a missing young woman in Mendhar.
On August 10, 2025, Mohd. Hanief S/o Sahib Din, resident of Sallani, Mankote, approached Police Station Mendhar with a written complaint regarding the missing of his daughter, Shazia Tabasum, 21 years of age. Acting promptly on the complaint, Mendhar Police registered the matter and launched search efforts to trace the missing girl.
A comprehensive search operation was carried out which included technical assistance, field investigation, and sustained efforts by the police team. After days of persistent follow-up, Mendhar Police successfully located and recovered the missing lady on August 17, 2025.
Subsequently, after completing all requisite legal formalities, the recovered girl was safely handed over to her family members.
District Police Poonch assures the general public that it remains committed to safeguarding the lives and property of citizens. The police also appeal to people to immediately report such matters so that timely action can be initiated.
